IR SAUNA
What is an Infrared Sauna?

An infrared sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared light to create heat. Basically, infrared light is a type of light we can't actually see, but we can feel as heat. Infrared saunas use this kind of light to warm up your body directly.
So, when you sit in an infrared sauna, instead of heating the air around you, the heat from the infrared lights targets your body directly. This means you're getting a deep, penetrating heat that can make you sweat and help your muscles relax.

What is the difference between traditional Saunas and Infrared Saunas?

Traditional saunas create a hot environment by heating the air around you, inducing sweat and accelerating your heart rate.
In contrast, infrared saunas use infrared light to directly heat your body, not the air. This difference is pivotal as it allows infrared saunas to provide deeper, targeted heat, resulting in more profound benefits. These can include better detoxification, improved muscle pain relief, and enhanced skin health.
Moreover, the air in an infrared sauna isn't heated to the same extreme as in traditional ones, making the experience more comfortable.

How should I prepare for my sauna?

The most important thing you can do to prepare for a sauna is to stay well hydrated before you use the sauna.

What should I wear in the Sauna?

When you enter an infrared sauna, clothing is key. If you are too covered, the lights will have trouble penetrating your skin, and you won’t reap all of the benefits our full spectrum infrared sauna has to offer.
We recommend using our sauna naked, in swimmers, or covered with a towel. In all cases you will sit or lie on a towel in the sauna.
Remember to remove all initial jewellery before stepping into the infrared sauna, as metal can burn once it heats up.

What do I need to bring?

Please bring swimmers or whatever you intend to wear in the sauna. You can also bring your own water bottle, but don't worry if you forget that - we have plenty available.

We will provide towels and any other amenities needed.

How long can I stay in the sauna?

When starting off in an infrared sauna, you may only want to stay in there for 10-15 minutes while you get used to the intense heat. After you do this for a little while, you can gradually increase your sessions to 30-40 minutes.

When should I avoid using an Infrared Sauna?
